Acorn Farm, Merseyside
An award-winning kids farm which allows you to get hands-on through feeding and petting the animals. From sheep, goats and pigs to meerkats, chipmunks and rabbits, there’s plenty to get involved with and discover.
Acorn Farm has a wide variety of animals that are obviously the star attractions. Start by holding and petting guinea pigs and rabbits, then help by feeding the pigs, goats and sheep. The farm also has a fantastic indoor horse riding area and stables for all those budding riders, with guided riding throughout weekends and holidays.
Outdoor Play Areas
There are two outdoor play areas, allowing kids to play whilst the adults relax with refreshments from the onsite café.
Acorn farm also offer horse riding on weekends, bank holidays and local school holidays. All riders are guided around the arena by expert staff. Riding helmets must be worn and are provided upon purchasing a ticket in the shop or kiosk.
The farm also has a lovely woodland walk area with seating that’s perfect for a picnic.
Oak Tree Cafe has a selection of homemade meals, daily specials and hot and cold drinks available. There’s also a good range of children’s meals and lunchboxes.
The farm shop has a range of products, all grown on Acorn Farm. From eggs and laying hens, to various meats and ice cream, there’s and really good range, and in spring a large selection of bedding plants too.
Things to note:
- Opening times: 10am – 4pm, 7 days a week.
- Hot food is served in Oak Tree Café until 2:45pm,
- No dogs allowed except for assistance dogs.
- Small petting sessions are held every weekend, bank holidays and local Knowsley school holidays. Please check website for confirmation.
- Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
